2025 said “It’s Time for Africa.” 2026 says “It’s Time for Africa to Scale.”
Africa has shown its renewable potential. Now it is time to scale the technologies, investments, enterprises and leaders that turn that potential into reliable power, industrial growth, stronger trade and shared prosperity.
Eleven years on, every nominee is still judged on G.R.I.T., the four qualities these awards were built to celebrate.
Growth
Renewables that unlock new industries, jobs and investment.
Resilience
Energy systems and enterprises that keep delivering under pressure.
Innovation
Products, models and finance that make clean power cheaper and smarter.
Transition
Real progress from fossil dependence to a clean, inclusive energy economy.
